அப்படியானால், இந்தச் சம்பவத்தைக் குறித்து இத்தொடரிலேயே விளக்கமாக எழுதுகிறேன். It needs to be looked at from its proper perspective.

These were the stories which i have read or heard and i pasted them here to say Arjuna was defeated by Lord Shiva/Hanuman
I have heard that all arrows shot by Arjuna on Lord Shiva became a garland on the Lord and Arjuna was forced to apologise on realising his mistake of not able to recognize the Lord.

Kannappa nayanar was supposed to be Arjuna who had to give away his eyes as the karma for not able to recognize the Lord.

So, i took this incident as Arjuna defeat

நீங்கள் என்ன சொல்ல வருகிறீர்கள் என்பது விளங்கவில்லை.

1) அர்ஜுனன் சிவபெருமானால் தோற்கடிக்கப்பட்டவன், அனுமனால் அவனுடைய அம்புப் பாலம் உடைக்கப்பட்டது. ஆகவே அவன் கர்ணனுக்குப் பயிற்சியில் இளைத்தவன் என்பதா, அல்லது,

2) யாராவது ஒருவர், ஒரேஒருவர் அர்ஜுனனைத் தோற்கடித்திருக்கிறார்களா என்ற என் கேள்வியை ஒரு சவாலாகக் கருதிவிட்டீர்களா?

சவால் என்று கருதி இதை ஒரு விடையாகச் சொல்லியிருக்கிறீர்கள் என்றால் –

1) சிவ-அர்ஜுன கைகலப்பு வெற்றி-தோல்வியில் முடிந்தது; சிவபெருமான் வென்றார், அர்ஜுனன் தோற்றான் என்று வியாச, வில்லி பாரதங்களில் சொல்லப்படும் ஸ்லோகம் அல்லது செய்யுளின் குறிப்பு எது என்று சொல்ல இயலுமா?

2) இது ஒரு பொதுவான கருத்தின் அடிப்படையில் சொல்லப்பட்ட ஒன்று என்றால், அந்தக் கைகலப்பு எப்படி ஒரு விளையாட்டுச் சண்டையாக முடிந்தது, வெற்றியோ, தோல்வியோ இல்லாமல் அர்ஜுனனுக்குச் சிவபெருமான் பாசுபதம் தந்தார் என்பதைச் சான்றுகளுடன் விளக்குவேன்.

அடுத்ததாக இன்னொன்று. அனுமன் பீமனிடத்தில் விளையாட்டாக பலப் பரீட்சை நடத்திய சம்பவம் உள்ளது. அர்ஜுனன் கட்டிய அம்புப் பாலத்தை ராமேஸ்வரத்துக்கு அருகில் அனுமார் உடைத்தார் என்பது இதுவரையில் நான் கேள்வியே படாத நிகழ்வாக இருக்கிறது. இப்படி ஒரு சம்பவம் எந்தச் சந்தர்ப்பத்தில் நிகழ்கிறது? ராமேஸ்வரத்துக்கு அர்ஜுனன் சென்றது அவனுடைய தீர்த்த யாத்திரை சமயத்தில். அந்தச் சமயத்தில் யாரோடு மோதினான், என்ன காரணத்துக்காக அம்புகளால் பாலம் அமைத்தான் என்பன போன்ற விவரங்களைத் தர இயலுமானால் புதியன கற்றுக் கொள்கிறேன்.
