The Jawans should be paid the salaries of the cricketers and the cricketers should be paid the salaries of the Jawans. An ace shooter shoots and gets gold medal, the government gives 3crores, all others vie to shower gold on him another shooter dies while shooting terrorist, government gives just 5 lakhs. While the system is unable to protect ordinary people from terrorist attacks, politicians, cutting across party lines, spend hundreds of crores of tax-payers' money to protect themselves. Over Rs 250 crore is spent on "VIP" protection, including people like Sajjan Kumar, who have murder cases against them. The explosion of VIP security has led to a ridiculous situation in which commandos meant for anti-terror operations have been diverted to protect politicians. What an irony:
