ஹிந்து சுய ஏளனத்தை எப்படி மேற்குலகம் போற்றிப் பரிசு வழங்குகிறதோ, அதோபொல் யூத சுய ஏளனத்தையும் போற்றிப் பரிசு வழங்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது.

I am not a movie buff ! However in view of the hype created for Slumdog Millionaire, I watched the movie TWICE ! Once… only to see the movie and second time to find out what they wanted to convey as message to the moviegoers !

In my opinion it is a grossly overhyped movie. A few unanswered questions that are haunting me are :-

Why should a foreigner want to depict to the whole world a total negative side of India ?

Why should they portrait a picture of Rama in repulsive blue colour, whereas at no point of time a cresent or cross was shown anywhere in the movie ? Is Hinduism such a cheap punching bag for all these people ?

Is it a new way of dividing common Indian mass in terms of religion, caste and earn ?

Does any normal Indian on a day to day life hear so many swearing words and filth in normal course of transaction ? Where is the need for portraying so much violence ?

I also learnt that this movie has now developed a new type of tourism in India = SLUM TOURISM. As an Indian I really feel ashamed of this.

It is a pity that the whole world is going to form an opinion based on these slum scenes, redlight areas and deal with Indians elsewhere in he world based on these impressions.

We have great statesmen, scientists, astronomers, religious leaders, artists, mathameticians,economists, writers who have come up from very poor background. Why not someone try to make a movie based on that and project all over the world ????????
