While was driving in New York city, there was a news broadcast in NPR station. The NPR station is supposedly freelance, totally run by audience in and around NYC. They blatantly supported MFHussain, and I wrote a letter back to them asking explanation. After three months I got a mail back saying something similar to ’some freelance news reporter in India did it (we do not know)’.

Respected Sir / Madam,

On 5/29/07 at 5:40 PM, I heared the above news in 93.9 FM and then read your article in the above link too.

It is very very unfortunate that you publish such a biased story in ‘National Public Radio’ which I have been believing as unbiased channel. I would like to bring to your notice some flaws in your views (as well in interviews) and being an Indian I am entitled to ask few questions arising in my mind :

1) You broadcasted emotional voice of lawyer of Mr. M.F. Hussain. Why didn’t you broadcast the view of the lawyer who sued and won the case against MF Husain? Or did you at least consider the view of the honourable judge himself? or did you mind what was written in the judgement? Is it not illegal in US to hide Judgement and broadcast a defendant’s side alone?

2) Just for mere formality you allowed less than 10 SECONDS of voice of a random layman speaking against the paintings and 10 full MINUTES of talk supporting Mr. Hussain. Is it fair to give 70% of Hindus just 2% of the slot ? Why does a lawyer talk emotionally (like “he is 92 year old artist, those hindu extremists …” ) rather than law points ?

3) Mr. MF Husain did not even care to defend the case when he was sued for defaming and insulting other religion and Hindu goddess. He calls himself as Indian, but he did not honour the summon from court or cared about law his own mother land . He bothered only when the Judge ordered to block his bank balance. Once problems came to his money, he appealed for Supreme court. (Wow.. Great patriotism!!!.) Did your reporter and you know this or not even this information?

4) India is our mother nation. She is our mother. Can anyone imagine and enjoy their mother ripped and painted nude ?

(That too symbolising ‘nudity of mother India’ in saffron color as a Hindu guru’s imagination. Good respect to Hindus. Also, you please note that if leftists or Artists or Muslims enjoy ripping mother India, remaining Indians need not follow them. We have rights of opinion and rights of speech. )

5) When Mr.Hussain painted mother India, Hindu Gods, goddess and a Hindu monk as nude , why he did not paint his own God or prophet as nude? Did your reporter even consider this view ? Did your reporter ask him why he didn’t paint any Islamic figure ? Mr.Hussain has painted Prophet’s wife Katheejha and other Muslims with very decent, completely coveringt dress, but Hindu’s and our mother India as nude ? Why your didn’t the interviewer ask even this to Mr. Hussain?

I CAN SEND YOU EVIDENCE FOR ALL THE ABOVE POINTS. And all the above points are very natural thoughts of neutral view.

will you broadcast this unbiased opinion? Would you kindly be a little fair to ask your reporter to interview Mr.Hussain and his attorneys with these questions?

Note: When some magazine in *Europe* published some *very slightly* sensitive cartoon of their prophet, Muslims in India who never had an opportunity to see those cartoons assaulted Hindus, burnt buses, spoiled public properties worth 28 million dollars. Did you read what am I saying ? For some non-hindu, non-Indian cartoonist sketched something that is slightly sensitive in non-Indian magazine that was never published in any Indian media, Muslims in India assaulted Indian Hindus, burnt buses in India, destroyed public propterty in India. Did you broadcast this news? Why did not you?
