இது போன்ற படங்களை மிகப் பெரும் வெற்றியடையச் செய்வதன் மூலம் இந்த தேசத்தின் கௌரவம் மிகுந்த பழம்பெருமை வாய்ந்த இது போன்ற தலைவர்களுக்கு நாம் மீண்டும் உயிர் கொடுக்கமுடியும்;

பணம் சம்பாதிக்கவேனும் இன்னபிற முத்துக்களையும் உயிரோவியமாகக் காணும் பாக்கியமும் வரும் தலைமுறையினருக்குக் கிட்டும்;அந்த கால படங்களுடன் ஒப்பிட்டு (கிறிஸ்மஸ் மரம் போன்ற வர்ணனைகள் தேவையற்றது; ஏன் சோளக் கொல்லை பொம்மைகள் என்று சொல்லக்கூடாதா…?) உயிரோட்டமுள்ளதொரு விமர்சனத்தை விருப்புவெறுப்பில்லாமல் படைத்திருக்கும் விஸ்வாமித்ரா அவர்களுக்கு வாழ்த்துக்கள்..!

நல்ல இயக்குனரும், கதாசிரியரும் இணையும் போது சிறந்த படங்களுக்கான அடித்தளம் அமைகிறது. அதனுடன் சிறந்த கலைஞர்களின் பங்கேற்பு சிறந்த படத்தையளிக்கிறது. தமிழில் இதுபோன்ற முயற்சிகளே அனேகமாக இல்லை எனலாம். துணை நடிகைகள், நடிகர்கள் கும்பலாய் ஆட கதாநாயகியின் “மத்யப் பிரதேச” நடனமே திரைக்காவியம் எனவும் இயக்குநரின் சாதனை எனவும் பேசப்படுகின்றன. இந்த “குப்பை காட்சியமைப்புகளை” தற்போது மலையாளத்திரையுலகமும் வெகுவாக பயன்படுத்த ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டது. ப்ளெஸ்ஸி,(தன்மாத்ரா, காழ்ச்சா) சத்யன் அந்திக்காடு, ப்ரியதர்ஷன், சிபி மலையில்,கமல் போன்றோர் தரமான படங்களைத் தருகின்றனர். ஹரிஹரன் + M T வாசுதேவன் நாயர் கூட்டணி போல் தமிழ்த்திரையுலகில் அமையுமா என்பது சந்தேகத்திற்குரியதே. விஸ்வாமித்ராவின் விமர்சனம் ஆற்றொழுக்காய் அமைந்தவிதம் பாராட்டுக்குரியது. சரத்குமாரின் திறமையை ஏன் தமிழ் இயக்குநர்களால் சரியாக வெளிக்கொணர முடியவில்லை என்ற கேள்விக்கு பதில் அவர்களால் தரமுடியுமா என்பதும் தெரியவில்லை.

Thankyou for the great review.
The choice of words were beautiful.
I live near Thirupathi and speak little malayalam but I saw the film when I was in Kerala because they shot near my place.
The movie is one of the best movies i saw in my life. and watching with kerala audience was great. they reacted for everything positively.
There are some minor negatives like the flexibility of the stars in action.
But it’s a justified compromise if you want their acting.
And I don’t think we have any right to mention about negatives in this film especially considering the crass stupid films all the industries make these days.
IT is a golden classic film which keeps our interest. The Direction was excellent.
Hariharan really took us into that period and after the film you feel like you stepped out of a world. Mammootty was also so grand as the King. Wonder if anyone else has such presence.
I was afraid when they said they were cutting some length in tamil. Every scene is so special and any change would reduce the impact.
But i am glad to hear the tamil version is good. I hear there is also a telegu version.

These kind of movies in such times is a blessing.
I am happy the media is taking it up to promote.

I agree with you that many Malayalam movies are nor realistic. The word “Perumbaalaana” was missing in the article. I wanted convey the message “mostly Malayalaym industry present more realistic movies than others” Apart from that TH.com does not have any intention to promote any Malayalam movies. I’ve written reviews for some English and Hindi movies too. It is sad that the coverage of TH.com on some English and Tamil movies did not come to your notice.
